As mentioned in our previous post, we are delighted to announce that NECAA’s Half Marathon Championships will this year for the first time be hosted by the AJ Bell Great North Run. The event has in the past hosted both the British and World Championships but never the North-Eastern Championships. We are extremely privileged to have this prestigious opportunity and appreciate the generosity of Sir Brendan Foster and his team in agreeing preferential privileges for NECAA entrants. As the event is massively oversubscribed, Brendan has agreed that NECAA members will have 120 places in the race at a 50% discount of £34.50, even if you have already entered, the balance will be refunded. These places have now been allocated as follows, and the lucky athletes should have received an email from the organisers advising them of their place.
