The race calendar for the 2026 North East (NECAA) Fell Running Championships is now confirmed.
The championship consists of 7 races, with your best 4 results counting towards overall standings.
2026 Championship Races
  • Brough Law – Sunday 15 March – Ingram, Northumberland
  • Bollihope Carrs – Saturday 28 March – Bollihope, Weardale
  • Bilsdale – Sunday 10 May – Chop Gate, North York Moors
  • Chevy Chase – Saturday 4 July – Wooler, Northumberland
  • Falstone Falcon – Saturday 22 August – Falstone, Northumberland
  • Cronkley – Saturday 12 September – Holwick, Teesdale
  • Gisborough Moors – Sunday 6 December – Guisborough, North York Moors
Eligibility
Open to runners born or resident (minimum 9 months) in Northumberland, Durham, Tyne & Wear, Cleveland or Teesside.
Competing for a North East club is normally sufficient for eligibility.
Scoring
  • 52 points to first eligible man and woman, then 49, 48, etc
  • Best 4 scores count
  • Head-to-head results used to resolve ties
Categories
Open, V40, V50, V60, V70
🏅 Medals for top 3 men and women and 1st in each vet category

📌 FV60, FV70 and MV70 runners only need 3 races to count
The winners of MOpen and FOpen automatically qualify to represent the North East Counties at the Inter-Counties Fell Race.
