A big thank you to everyone who had an input in making the North Eastern Counties Track and Field Championships a huge success especially meeting manager and NE Counties secretary, Keith Willshire; technical manager Marino Danilowicz and NE Counties secretary Chris Betts whose work prior to the Championships goes relatively unnoticed.
Also to all the volunteer technical officials for giving their valuable time throughout the two days and, of course, to every club coach who encouraged their athletes to take part, without those competitors there would be no Championships so it’s vitally important the fixture is forever on the athletic calendar for many years to come.
Thanks also to our main sponsors, Start Fitness, St John’s for being in attendance and to England Athletics for their support. While it was encouraging to witness internationals Richard Kilty and Joy Eze lining up in the Championships more importantly was seeing the smiles on the faces of the younger competitors throughout the two days. it was a pleasure being in Teesside once again and, to repeat, well done everyone.
