Under 14 Competition is confined to athletes aged 12 and 13 at midnight on 31/08/2026 – maximum 3 events per day

Under 16 Competition is confined to athletes aged 14 and 15 at midnight on 31/08/2026 – maximum 3 events per day

Under 18 Competition is confined to athletes aged 16 and 17 at midnight on 31/08/2026 – maximum 3 events per day

Under 20 Competition is confined to athletes aged 18 and 19 at midnight on 31/08/2026

Senior Competition is for athletes aged at least 20 years of age on 31/12/2026

                  

                     Note: NECAA reserve the right to cancel any event for which insufficient entries are received

Conditions of Entry (please read carefully)

This event is confined to athletes who were born or have continuously resided, for at least nine months prior to the competition, within the counties of Northumberland, Durham, Cleveland, Tyne & Wear or Teesside. The NECAA are operating under UKA Rule 21 S6 as one County and clubs must abide by those rules regarding qualifications and any other matters

Entries are welcome from non NECAA competitors, however, in those events for which heats and finals are held, such competitors may not displace NECAA athletes from any subsequent heat or final.

 

                                N.B this does not qualify students who have resided during term time alone.

 

 

 

We can only accept online entries, as this is a Championship event there will be no entries accepted after the closing date

Entry costs £9.00 per event

Any competitor who achieves a place in a Saturday final but does not take part in that final without giving a valid reason to the Chief Track Judge may be debarred from competing in any event on the Sunday [UKA Rule 142(4)]

 

Athletes may compete in the Championships of only one County Association in any one calendar year.
